Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
