Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), enlighten, for by the munificence of your Lord, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say, 'He is a poet for whom we await Fate's uncertainty'? 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly. 34 [Or do they deny the existence of God?] Have they themselves been created without anything [that might have caused their creation]? or were they, perchance, their own creators? 35 Or, did they create the heavens and the earth? No, their belief is not certain! 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Hath He daughters and ye sons? 39 Or is it that [they who reject thy message, O Muhammad, fear lest] thou ask of them a reward, so that they would be burdened with debt [if they should listen to thee]? 40 Or do they have knowledge of the Unknown which they write down? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 Therefore leave them, until they confront their day, in which they will be stunned. 45 The Day when their plotting shall not avail them at all nor will they be helped (i.e. they will receive their torment in Hell). 46 The unjust will suffer other torments besides this but most of them do not know. 47 Be patient, then, (O Prophet), until the judgement of your Lord comes. For surely you are before Our eyes. And celebrate the praise of your Lord when you rise, 48 And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars. 49
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
