The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is sundered. 1 And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);- 2 and when the earth is stretched out 3 And casts forth what is in it and becomes empty, 4 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] - 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 But he who is given his Book from behind his back 10 Soon will he cry for perdition, 11 and roast at the Blaze. 12 Indeed he used to rejoice in his home. 13 Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)! 14 But no; (how would he not revert)? His Lord was ever watching him. 15 So by oath of the late evening’s light. 16 And by oath of the night and all that gathers in it. 17 And by the moon when she is at the full, 18 That you will climb from stage to stage. 19 What aileth them, then, that they believe not 20 And that, when the Qur'an is read unto them, they prostrate not them-selves! ۩ 21 Nay, (on the contrary), those who disbelieve, belie (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and whatever he brought, i.e. this Quran and Islamic Monotheism, etc.). 22 And Allah well knows what they conceal in their hearts. 23 Therefore, give them the news of a painful punishment. 24 But for those who believe and do good works; for them there shall be a never-ending reward. 25
Almighty Allah's Truth.
