The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the piercing star. 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created of spurting water 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
