The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So whither do you stray? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
