The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
