Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
