The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
