Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the morning brightness, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
