Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Verily, the tree of Zaqqum, 43 Is the food of the sinful 44 like molten copper, bubbling in the belly 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 [It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire, 47 Then pour the punishment of boiling water over his head, 48 Taste this; you who considered yourself the mighty, the honourable! 49 Lo! this is that whereof ye used to doubt. 50 Verily the God-fearing will be in a place secure 51 Amid gardens and watersprings, 52 They will be dressed in fine silk and embroidery, facing one another (on thrones). 53 Thus (shall it be), and We will wed them with Houris pure, beautiful ones. 54 In that [paradise] they shall [rightfully] claim all the fruits [of their past deeds,] resting in security; 55 There they shall not taste death, except the first death, and He will shield them from the punishment of Hell, 56 By the beneficence of your Lord. This will be the great success. 57 Certainly, We have made this (Quran) easy in your tongue, in order that they may remember. 58 So watch, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end]. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
