Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the wind that scatters far and wide, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 and the partitioners, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
