The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
