The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
