3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
