AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth -- We spread it forth; O excellent Smoothers! 48 And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. 49 Therefore flee unto God! I am a clear warner from Him to you. 50 Do not set up another god with God. I give you a clear warning from Him. 51 Likewise, there came not an apostle unto those before them but they said: a magician or a madman! 52 What, have they bequeathed it one to another? Nay, but they are an insolent people. 53 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, 54 And advise, for advice benefits the Muslims. 55 And [tell them that] I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may [know and] worship Me. 56 I want no sustenance from them nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 Indeed it is Allah, Who is the Greatest Sustainer, the Strong, the Able. 58 For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! 59 Woe to the disbelievers when the day with which they have been threatened comes! 60
