So what is [the matter] with those who disbelieve, hastening [from] before you, [O Muhammad], 36 left and right, in numerous groups? 37 What, is every one of them eager to be admitted to the Garden of Bliss? 38 Certainly not! They know quite well out of what We created them. 39 So I swear by the Lord of [all] risings and settings that indeed We are able 40 To replace them by (others) better than them; and We are not to be outrun. 41 So leave them to their vain disputes and amusement till they meet their day (of reckoning) promised them, 42 the Day when they rush out of their graves as if racing towards a signpost, 43 With their eyes lowered in fear and humility, ignominy covering them (all over)! That is the Day which they were promised! 44
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej). Sent down in Mecca after Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah) before The News (Al-Naba')
