1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 (They will be told), "You will certainly suffer the painful torment 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 For them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 In gardens of delight, 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 for had it not been for my Sustainer's favour, I would surely be [now] among those who are given over [to suffering]! 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 for, behold, it is a tree that grows in the very heart of the blazing fire [of hell,] 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies). 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
