Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the Inevitable Reality? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 THE LIE gave [the tribes of] Thamud and 'Ad to [all tidings of] that sudden calamity! 4 But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning! 5 And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 Beholdest thou any of them remaining? 8 Pharaoh likewise, and those before him, and the Subverted Cities -- they committed error, 9 and rebelled against their Lord's Messenger. So He took them with a stern taking. 10 When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark. 11 That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember. 12 Hence, [bethink yourselves of the Last Hour,] when the trumpet [of judgment] shall be sounded with a single blast, 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow, 14 So that is the day when the forthcoming event will occur. 15 when the sky will be rent asunder, the grip holding it together having loosened on that Day, 16 and the angels [will appear] at its ends, and above them, eight will bear aloft on that Day the throne of thy Sustainer's almightiness… 17 On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he shall say, 'Here, take and read my book! 19 I was certain I'll be given my account." 20 So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing. 21 In a high garden 22 the clusters of whose fruit will be hanging low to be within reach (of the inmates of Paradise). 23 'Eat and drink with wholesome appetite for that you did long ago, in the days gone by.' 24 However, those who will receive the books of the records of their deeds in their left hands will say, "We wish that this record had never been given to us 25 And I had not known what my account was: 26 "I wish, would that it had been my end (death)! 27 My wealth has availed me nothing: 28 There hath perished from me my authority. 29 Lay hold on him, then put a chain on him, 30 then throw them into hell to be heated up therein. 31 then fasten him with a chain, seventy cubits long. 32 Surely he did not believe in Allah, the Great, 33 “And did not urge to feed the needy.” 34 “So he does not have any friend here this day.” 35 and no food except pus 36 which no one will eat except the sinners. 37
