The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
