So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
