We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
