NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 Warn the men. 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 From the guilty. 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
