And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 Gardens Everlasting, whereof the portals remain opened for them. 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 and other such torments. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And they will say: "What is the matter with us that we see not men whom we used to count among the bad ones?" 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
