The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
