O all you who believe, seek you help in patience and prayer; surely God is with the patient. 153 Do not say that those who are killed in the way of God, are dead, for indeed they are alive, even though you are not aware. 154 Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere, 155 Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." 156 Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord, and mercy. Such are the rightly guided. 157 ۞ Safa and Marwah are among the symbols set up by God; there is nothing wrong if anyone goes on a pilgrimage to the House, or performs a minor pilgrimage, in walking to and fro between them. Of anyone who does good of his own accord, God is appreciative, and aware. 158 Surely those who conceal the clear proofs and the guidance that We revealed after We made it clear in the Book for men, these it is whom Allah shall curse, and those who curse shall curse them (too). 159 save such as repent and make amends, and show clearly -- towards them I shall turn; I turn, All-compassionate. 160 Those who adopted the way of disbelief and died as disbelievers, are accursed of Allah and of angels and of all mankind: they shall remain accursed for ever. 161 Their punishment shall not be lightened, nor shall they be reprieved. 162 Your God is one God. There is no deity save Him. He is the Compassionate, the Merciful. 163
