Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha'. Mim. 1 This is a revelation from the Compassionate, the Merciful. 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 It contains glad news and warnings (for the people), but most of them have ignored it and do not listen. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are encased against that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us, so do as you will and so shall we." 5 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I am only a human being like you. It is inspired in me that your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God - Allah), therefore take Straight Path to Him (with true Faith Islamic Monotheism) and obedience to Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe to Al-Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc. - see V. 2:105). 6 (To) those who do not give poor-rate and they are unbelievers in the hereafter. 7 Lo! as for those who believe and do good works, for them is a reward enduring. 8
