He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 you attended to him, 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness 8 and fearfully, 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 (and whoso wills, shall remember it) 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 From what stuff hath He created him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 then, when He wills, He raises him. 22 Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 We send down abundant water, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And his wife and his children, 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 And many will be dust-begrimed, 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
