The people of Noah cried lies to the Envoys 105 Behold, their brother Noah said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 106 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 107 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
