The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
