So none believed in Moses, save a seed of his people, for fear of Pharaoh and their Council, that they would persecute them; and Pharaoh was high in the land, and he was one of the prodigals. 83 And Musa (Moses) said: "O my people! If you have believed in Allah, then put your trust in Him if you are Muslims (those who submit to Allah's Will)." 84 They said, "In God do we trust. Lord, do not subject us to the persecution of the unjust ones, 85 And deliver us by Your mercy from the people who deny the truth." 86 And We Revealed unto Musa and his brother: inhabit houses for your people in Misr, and make your houses a place of Worship, and establish prayer, and give glad tidings to the believers. 87 And Musa said: Our Lord! surely Thou hast given to Firon and his chiefs finery and riches in this world's life, to this end, our Lord, that they lead (people) astray from Thy way: Our Lord! destroy their riches and harden their hearts so that they believe not until they see the painful punishment. 88 Said (the Lord): "Your prayer is answered. Therefore persist and do not follow the path of those who are ignorant." 89 ۞ And We brought the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh with his hosts pursued them in rebellion and transgression, till, when the (fate of) drowning overtook him, he exclaimed: I believe that there is no Allah save Him in Whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of those who surrender (unto Him). 90 What! Now! When hitherto thou hast rebelled and been of the wrong-doers? 91 We will save your body on this day so that you may become evidence (of Our existence) for the coming generations; many people are unaware of such evidence." 92
