Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its violent shaking, 1 and [when] the earth yields up her burdens, 2 And man enquires: "What has come over it?" 3 On that day she shall tell her news, 4 for your Lord has so directed it. 5 On that day men will return towards their Lord, in different groups, in order to be shown their deeds. 6 Whosoever has done even an atom's weight of good will behold it; 7 while whoever has done the smallest particle of evil will see it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
