It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement. 26 ۞ His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error. 27 He shall say, 'Dispute not before Me! For I sent you beforehand -- the threat. 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
