The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
