The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
