HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
