The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This is the Book; there is no doubt in it. It is a guide for those who are mindful of God, 2 who believe in the Unseen, and perform the prayer, and expend of that We have provided them; 3 who have faith in what has been revealed to you and others before you and have strong faith in the life hereafter. 4 those are upon guidance from their Lord, those are the ones who prosper. 5 As for those whose fate is disbelief, whether you warn them or do not warn them – it is all one for them; they will not believe. (Because their hearts are sealed – see next verse). 6 God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes there is a covering. They will have a terrible punishment. 7
