The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 and produce sparks 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
