Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
