Alshu'araa' 10 of 11

The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 Then they branded him a liar, whereupon the chastisement of the Day of Canopy overtook them. It was the chastisement of a very awesome day. 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
