The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 who give charity, 4 Who guard their sex 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 to their promise, 9 Those are the inheritors 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
