Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
