And recall what time the hypocrites and these in whose hearts was a disease said: their religion hath begulfed those. And whosoever relieth on Allah then verily Allah is Mighty, Wise. 49 If you could only see the infidels as the angels draw away their souls and strike their faces and their backs, (saying): "Taste the torment of burning 50 That is for what your hands have put forth [of evil] and because Allah is not ever unjust to His servants." 51 [To them shall happen] the like of what happened to Pharaoh's people and those who lived before them; they denied the truth of God's messages and so God took them to task for their sins. Verily, God is powerful, severe in retribution! 52 This is because Allah has never changed a favor which He has conferred upon a people until they change their own condition; and because Allah is Hearing, Knowing; 53 Like the ways of Firaun’s people and those before them; they denied the signs of Allah – We therefore destroyed them on account of their sins and We drowned the people of Firaun; and they all were unjust. 54 Surely the worst of beasts in God's sight are the unbelievers, who will not believe, 55 The ones with whom you made a treaty but then they break their pledge every time, and they do not fear Allah. 56 So, if thou comest upon them anywhere in the war, deal with them in such wise as to scatter the ones behind them; haply they will remember. 57 And if you learn of treachery on the part of any people, throw their treaty back at them, so as to be on equal terms, for God does not love the treacherous. 58
