We have placed the signs of the Zodiac in the sky, and decked it out for those who can see; 16 And We have preserved it from every accursed devil, 17 Save him who stealeth the hearing, and him there followeth a flame gleaming. 18 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers, and made all things grow upon it balanced evenly. 19 We have provided on it sustenance for you, and for those you cannot provide. 20 There is nothing except that its treasuries are with Us and We do not send it down except in a known measure. 21 And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. 22 And verily We! it is We who give life and death, and We shall be the survivors. 23 And verily We know the eager among you and verily We know the laggards. 24 and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing. 25
