The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its mighty shaking, 1 And Earth yieldeth up her burdens, 2 when man asks, "What is happening to her?"; 3 upon that day she shall tell her tidings 4 for your Lord has so directed it. 5 On that Day mankind will proceed in bands, that they may be shewn their works. 6 Then whosoever hath worked good of an atom's weight shall behold it 7 while whoever has done the smallest particle of evil will see it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
