Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
