Do you not see how your Lord stretches the shadow? Had it been His will, He could have made it constant. Then He appointed the sun to be a guide to it; 45 Then We withdraw it to Us a gradual concealed withdrawal. 46 And He it is Who makes the Night as a Robe for you, and Sleep as Repose, and makes the Day (as it were) a Resurrection. 47 And He it is Who sends the winds as good news before His mercy; and We send down pure water from the cloud, 48 That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men. 49 And We set it forth among them, that they may be admonished, but most men begrudge aught save infidelity. 50 If We had willed, We would have raised up in every city a warner. 51 So obey not the unbelievers, but struggle with them thereby mightily. 52 ۞ And it is He Who caused the two joint seas to flow- one is palatable, very sweet, and the other is salty, very bitter; and kept a veil between them and a preventing barrier. 53 It is He who created man from water, then gave him consanguinity and affinity. Your Lord is omnipotent. 54 And they (disbelievers, polytheists, etc.) worship besides Allah, that which can neither profit them nor harm them, and the disbeliever is ever a helper (of the Satan) against his Lord. 55 And We have not sent you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) except as a Herald of glad tidings and warnings. 56 Say: "For this, no reward do I ask of you - [no reward] other than that he who so wills may unto his Sustainer find a way!" 57 And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allah] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted - 58 He Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between, in six days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): Allah Most Gracious: ask thou, then, about Him of any acquainted (with such things). 59 When they are told, "Prostrate yourselves before the Gracious One," they ask, "Who is this Gracious One? Shall we prostrate ourselves before whatever you will?" This increases their aversion. ۩ 60
