Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Surely the tree of the Zaqqum, 43 shall be food for the sinners: 44 Like molten brass; it will boil in their insides. 45 As the seething of boiling water. 46 "Seize him and drag him into the depths of Hell," (it will be said), 47 "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water, 48 They will be told, "Suffer the torment. You had thought yourselves to be majestic and honorable. 49 This is certainly what you had denied." 50 Surely those who fear and follow the straight path will be in a place of peace and security 51 In the midst of gardens and of springs, 52 Dressed in fine silk and (also) in thick silk, facing each other, 53 Just like that. We shall pair them with companions with large black eyes. 54 In that [paradise] they shall [rightfully] claim all the fruits [of their past deeds,] resting in security; 55 They shall not taste death except the death in this world. And Allah will save them from the chastisement of Hell 56 an act of thy Sustainer's favour: and that, that will be the triumph supreme! 57 And We have made this Qur’an easy in your language, for them to understand. 58 Wait then (O Muhammad). Lo! they (too) are waiting. 59

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
