The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Alif Lam Ra. These are the verses of a clear Book, the Quran. 1 Perhaps (often) will those who disbelieve wish that they were Muslims [those who have submitted themselves to Allah's Will in Islam Islamic Monotheism, this will be on the Day of Resurrection when they will see the disbelievers going to Hell and the Muslims going to Paradise]. 2 Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them). 3 And never did We destroy a town but it had a term made known. 4 No people can outstrip the term for its destruction nor can it delay it. 5 They say: 'Thou, upon whom the Remembrance is sent down, thou art assuredly possessed! 6 "Why do you not bring angels to us if you are of the truthful ones?" 7 We do not send down angels except for a genuine purpose, at which time none will be given any further respite. 8 Surely We have revealed the Reminder and We will most surely be its guardian. 9 We sent Messengers to the ancient people who lived before you. 10 But no Messenger came to them except he was mocked. 11 We place in the hearts of sinners (disbelief). 12 They will not believe in it, though they have before them the example of former peoples, 13 If We opened a gate in the heaven and they kept ascending through it, 14 they would surely have said, "It is only our eyes that are spellbound! Nay, we have been bewitched! 15
