Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam": They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers! 50 ۞ Neither did I make them witness the creations of the heavens and the earth, nor witness their own creation; nor does it befit My Majesty to choose misleaders as aides. 51 And beware a Day whereon He will say: cry unto my associates whom ye fancied. So they will call unto them, and they will answer them not, and We shall place between them a partition. 52 And the guilty behold the Fire and know that they are about to fall therein, and they find no way of escape thence. 53
