The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
